These two chapters discuss and show examples of different types of layouts for a newspaper. It focuses on the importance of using art and how to use it properly. The chapters give examples of good and bad layouts and where to properly place the images or graphics that are being used. Also, they show the best ways to wrap a text around an image. The chapters go over many features that appear on the pages, such as mugshots, cutlines, and text shapes. It is important to have one dominant photo to ensure it stands out against the rest which would normally be used for your most important or interesting article. One-third of your page should be art and each page layout should be a little different.
